Directed Pickup is similar to Call Pickup, but allows the subscriber to pick up a specific incoming call to any line within the Business Group. The subscriber can pick up an incoming call while the telephone is ringing, but cannot pick up a call that is already in progress.
Extension A with intercom code of 100 is ringing. Extension B picks up the phone and dials *12. Extension B will hear two beeps and then dial the Extension number of Extension A (100). The call will connect.
