CommPortal is a web-based user interface offering online access to voicemail, call lists, contact information, as well as self-care of subscriber settings. With CommPortal subscribers can check voicemail, forward voicemails to an e-mail address, or save messages to a .wav file. Subscribers can import or build a contacts lists to quickly dial phone numbers right from their web browser. CommPortal allows subscribers to manage features such as call forwarding right from their PC. CommPortal displays a summary of subscriber account settings and recent activity, customized to the set of services available to the subscriber.

CommPortal Assistant is a software program that runs on a subscriber’s PC. CommPortal Assistant augments the standard CommPortal Web interface with Pop-Ups, Desktop Toolbars, and more. CommPortal Assistant can integrate with Microsoft Outlook to synchronize contacts. Customers can click on a contact and dial them right from their PC without having to log onto a web page.

Call Manager is an advanced call handling service, enabling subscribers to configure powerful rules that screen incoming calls and apply actions such as forwarding or rejection. Using CM, subscribers can recognize particular callers and treat their calls specially, and apply different behavior at different times of day. As CM is such a powerful tool, most configuration options must be set using CommPortal.

On your computer bring up your internet browser. (Microsoft Explorer, Google Chrome, FireFox) in the address box enter the commportal address. This will bring up the Commportal login box. Enter your phone number including the area code. (208-XXX-XXXX) in the number box. Then enter your pin number that was given to you at the Telephone Company in the password box. Press the login button. This will bring you to your Commportal Dash Board. Call Custer Telephone at 1-208-879-2281 for your initial password.
