CusterTel is governed by a seven member board elected for three year rotating terms and representing four districts that make up the Cooperative’s serving area.
The Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month and conducts a meeting of the members annually.

In 1953 an organization committee was formed to create a Member owned telephone cooperative and build a dial telephone system. By February 1955 Custer Telephone Cooperative, Inc. began serving our Members in Custer and Lemhi Counties with dial telephone service. In 2006, we formed Custer Telephone Broadband Services, LLC to bring high speed internet and telephone services to Salmon and the immediate area.
Today, operating collectively as CusterTel, we continue to implement new technologies to enrich the lives of our customers. With education and training, our team is committed to providing our customers with the best service possible.
