Warm Line allows a Subscriber to establish a switched connection to a predetermined number if the Customer does not dial a number within a 6 second time period after going off-hook. When the Subscriber’s telephone goes off-hook and dialing begins within 6 seconds, the call will proceed normally as dialed. If dialing has not started after 6 seconds, a predetermined stored number is automatically dialed by the central office switching equipment.
